roaches, everywhere, and have seen a few mice, whos responsible for exterminating? should we pay and have deducted out of rent? or have owner pay since it is his home? help!

The first thing you need to do is let the landlord know it's a problem. The next step is probably up to the landlord. There are a few responses that he may give you.

Hopefully, he'll respond that he didn't realize it's a problem, and that he'll send someone out right away.

He might also ask you to find someone to do it, and take it out of the rent...Alternately, he might have an exterminator that has an account for him, and they'll just bill him directly.

If he responds that he doesn't care, that's when you should pay for it yourself, and just short-pay the rent. Send him a copy of the receipt, along with your rent check.

If you are renting it is the landlords responsibility to take care of that. If you bought the home and it is paid for it is you job to take care of the problem.

If i were you, first i would tell the situation to your house owner. If he does'nt can help you further, you may suggest to share the payments?

owner pays if you are in England go to the local envirorment agency
