Honestly when they least expect it usually.
Bars and clubs are the worst but surprisingly places that you do casual stuff in like walking a dog in the park, food shopping, going to the gym... are really the best places (met mine at the gym ... he asked me out while I was all sweaty) I never thought I would get anyone there in a million years. I think it's because they see you at your most natural and real.

The internet is great for some people, but you will meet alot of men/women on there that are just looking for desperate people to have sex with. My best advise would be to not look. It seems that sometimes when I feel that I am having an ugly day I meet someone, but when I dress up and say " i am going to get a man today" I meet noone. To answer your ques. College, home depot, lowes, walking the dog.

You mean before or after they become your spouse? I met my current spouse at a neighborhood bar. I meet him all the time for dinner.

More than ever, people are meeting online. I met my wife that way. There are lots of great dating sites but if you are looking for something leading to marriage I recommend e-Harmony.

I met my now husband through his sister, who approached me in a nail salon to say she thought I'd be perfect for her brother. I'd never met her before and was determined to get away. She finally insisted I take his email address and I decided to write him an email. He wrote back and we agreed to meet for dinner. I was 25, he was 32 at the time. The rest is history. After one month he asked me to go ring shopping with him, 3 months later he proposed - we've now been married over 2 years and together over 4 years.

people meet their spouses in all sorts of places: at college, at a party, bumping into them when single and finding things in common, etc., but online is as dangerous as it gets. 99.9% of the time, it's someone who's lying about something, or is just after sex. 90% of GUYS online pull the old "my wife just doesn't understand me" line in order to get cyber sex. I'VE been hit on with that line online SO many times I've lost count..
Be very cautious, and prepared for anything if you decide to meet someone from online.

I met Austin (my fiancee) first on Myspace before I moved to Key West. I was looking for people to maybe meet up with and he emailed me. I wasn't interested in anything romantically with anyone but thought he'd make a good friend. I went out with a local who I was interested in one night and as soon as I walked into the bar heard someone scream my name, it was Austin. He was gorgeous! LOL. We drank some drinks and come to find out they were friends, we decided that we'd go hang out soon but didn't exchange numbers. I still talked to his friend and started dating him but soon found out that he was dating several other girls, so I called it quits. Soon after Austin showed up at my work to "buy something".. We hung out everyday after that playing mini golf, going to movies, sitting on the beach and finally having a kiss during Super Troopers.. LOL. A week later we were boyfriend and girlfriend and inseperable. 2 years later we're engaged and buying a house together!

P.S. I'm sorry but how the hell can anyone give a thumbs down for where someone met their spouse? That is ridiculously stupid.
