I upgraded my stock halogen lamps to the Sylvania Ultra SilverStar lamps. They're brighter than the stock lamps but I need to adjust the vertical adjustment slightly.

you can adjust the lights. If you open the hood and look on the radiator support (the black steel panel that runs across the front of the engine compartment) and looking directly to the rear of the headlamp you'll see a hole. That hole is recessed and is about the size of a quarter. In the center of the hole is another hole that is big enough for a phillips head screwdriver. Insert a phillips head screwdriver into the hole until it meshes with the gear for the headlamp adjuster. In effect, when you turn the screwdriver the tip becomes a gear and as you turn it you will rotate the shaft that provides for the headlamp adjustment.. That will provide for the vertical adjustment. You can turn the screwdriver clockwise and counterclockwise; the gear moves in both directions to lower or raise the vertical adjustment. There is one hole in the radiator support on each side. The hole should be about 2 inches inboard from the hood bumpers.

the honda measure for the vertical adjustment is to park the car in front of a wall about 3 feet away. turn the headlights on. Put a piece of tape on the wall to mark the center of each headlamp projection. Then back the car up to 25 feet from the wall. A properly adjusted headlamp will be 2.5 inches below the initial marks. Obviously, you better have very level ground from the wall back in order for this adjustment method to be valid.

hope that helps

Is one adjustment to adjust both low and high beams? I need to adjust the high beam only, the low beam is already perfect. Is there a way to do this?
