Not gay myself, im also not arab or muslim, but rather Assyrian and Christian from Iraq.

I wonder what the views of gay, Bi and Lesbians are about the treatment of Gays in muslim countries...not so long ago two teenage boys were hanged in public in Iran for being gay.
This sort of thing also goes on in Saudi, Afghanistan, Algeria, Pakistan etc. Gays are villified and persecuted, tortured imprisoned and often killed.

However, homosexual activity is EXTREMELY prevelant in Islamic societies.

Arab, North African, Iranian, Afghan, Turkish, Kurdish and Pakistanis are very well known for it.

There are male brothels in Turkey, the mid east and North Africa, many Afghan guerilla leaders have teenage male concubines (source: The Times), being from Iraq i know full well Arab and Kurdish men have a prediliction for teenage boys!

Im not pro or anti gay, live and let live...its the hypocrisy that gets me!

Nothing new in hypocrisy in religion...but it is interesting that the ones which tend to have the most vocal and loud style of sermons... do tend to be the ones which appear to be saying ..listen to what I say ..do not look at what I do.

Remember,of course, that Islam has a very definite stated basic aim, to rule over a state (world) which is inhabited by ONLY Muslim people. This makes it a very political religion.

in Islam homosexuality is not approved at all not accepted. same goes if a wife cheats on her spouse or he cheats on her they get stoned. I am Muslim but i have so many homosexual family members and i will never shut my door on any one just because of there choices. i may have to answer for that cause i Know i dont make the rules so i can not change it nor do i want to I'm just not judgmental to anyone. but being Muslim and gay is unheard of! ultimate sin.

I have been aware of what you are saying for sometime. I have had friends who have visited a couple of the countries you have mentioned and have said near enough the same thing.
I have have believed that what they do will return on the,m three fold and they will pay for what they are and have done. And it will come to pass.

One wonders about gay people and Christianity as well. I posted my question a few days, I think it's still open.

Homosexuality is natural and is of biological/genetic origin. It also exists in the animal world. Islamic law, however, is unnatural and man-made, and is pure evil. Homosexuality threatens the religious/political authority of Islamic law.
