Is make-up absolutely necessary?
Some culture (or countries) seems to demand make-up for grown-up women, for it is regarded as "good manners"....

I'm 17 and unlike other asian teens who take FOREVER to go somewhere because they put layers and layers on make-up on...I go n-a-t-u-r-a-l.

This girl I know spends SOOOOO much money on make-up and she always whines and complains that she doesn't have cute clothes like the rest of me and my friends. Well...she doesn't think straight either. Another lesson: make-up is a waste of money.

I suggest EVERYBODY should go natural. Because one day my Aunt told me that she went to work withOUT make-up on and somebody asked her if she was sick.

Woman always say that make-up just enhances the beauty that people already have. But my mom told me not to wear make-up while I'm so young. It ruins your skin. Well maybe it won't ruin your skin...but once you start and you go a DAY without make-up...you look a wretched mess!

I think all of the people who didn't have kids, or don't have a long day of work and they DON'T have acne or anything.....they should wait until they get older.

Natural beauty is the best beauty.

I don't think make-up is necessary for all women. If a woman feels comfortable enough not to wear it or if her skin is flawless then why bother. I think make-up is more of a personal choice and does not mean that some women have bad manners if they choose to not wear it. I do think there are some occasions where a touch of blush or mascara would not hurt.

I don't wear make-up every day. I only wear eye make-up and lip gloss on occasion if i am going out but it is not a necessity. Although i do know for some women with blotchy skin or uneven tones they feel it is necessary so their skin wont be criticized or what have you.

It is not absolutely necessary. I only wear make up on the weekends or when i go out. I don't usually wear make up during the week to work, because i work in a private office with no one else, except for my boss occasionally, so i don't bother waking up early to get dolled up. But on weekend i'll put a little bit on when i go run my errands and i love to get dolled up at night when i go out on weekends.

its def not good manners, a girls just gotta look good its an instinctive need. i prefer not wearing makeup just cuz i feel uncomfortable, like to do something as simple as blink or rub/scratch my eye lol ( although since staph is going around i try not to touch my face at all)

Yes, specially if Mother Nature was having a bad day when you were made.

No make-up is not necessary. It sometimes makes girls feel confident, and pretty.

I don't bother with it. I like my natural face just fine!!! Makeup can clog pores and stuff. The most I wear is lip gloss and occasionally I do up my eyes a teeny bit.
