I do have my wife and that is fine, but I wish that I had others to talk to. People who could understand me but at the same time feel free and open to disagree and know that it won't turn into a fight. Someone who could be my mirror, and at the same time play devil's advocate.

I live in one town and my boyfriend lives in another, so I am alone most of the time. We speak on the phone several times a day. I do wish I had someone that cared enough to listen, understand, cry with you, share you secrecy and most of all laugh at you and with you. I don't have it and I don't think I ever will, good luck

Yes. So I found me a counselor and that's who I am talking to about my problems. My friends are all on different pages in their lives right now. None of them are married -- with the exception of one, so they don't tend to understand things from a marital standpoint. Also, people have enough to deal with, with their own problems. So instead of bogging others down I decided to get a counselor.

I wish I had more girlfriends sometimes - I just have one and she has a lot of health problems that make her very unrelatable.
I see shows like Sex and the City and I wish for friends like that!

Of course, I have someone to talk to. It means having a job, joining the activity clubs, meeting people and making friends. Get out of the house!

Calico is right.......there are sooo many people on the planet, ( 6 billion), and yet there are soo many of us that are lonely. Too bad your husband doesn`t see your loneliness.........I just don`t understand the human conditon.I `m lonely, but noone seems to care either...FRUSTRATING, and sad.

My guy has to be up at 5:30 a.m. for work....last night we laid in bed talking until almost 1:30....just talking, about work, our relationship, life....
If you don't have a man like that, I feel badly for you.
