Yes, it's pretty scary I am a young teenager and I live in an area where every other teen is a parent, I babysat for a girl who had three boys by the age of 20. I would use the method my mom used on me "I trust you until you give me a reason not too" which obviously doesn't mean let him or her go out with some drunk friends or use drugs or whatever but don't harass them and make them hate you. For example I have a friend who is an only child and her parents are so strict shes my age and has done so much i.e- drink & smoke. My mom trusts me and I have yet to do anything like that. Yes but usually its over something so stupid I can't even remember when...I am not the jumpy kind but if I am not paying attention and someone catches me off guard especially at night I get the Begeezus trying to get back inside of me....

Yeah, one time, late at night and deep in the wilds I and my family were outside of any safe enclosure and this thing came at us at a dead run. I promptly shot and killed it. It was an animal that seemed certain to attack us all. At my warning shout, it seemed to ignore, I had a decision to make instantly. I made it and we survived. End of story.
