The question says it all. I'm looking to buy a freestyle board with a couple cms to work with if I want to freeride. Not a freestyle/freeride board...more freestyle. If that makes sense.

I'm an intermediate rider. You think 155 or so?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Try this great snowboard size calculator on the web that also gives recommendations:

For freestyle, the 155 would be about right, but if you are still growing I would go a little longer so that you can grow into the board.

You didn't mention your shoe size, but If you have size 11 or larger, you may need a "wide" board - you don't want your toes and heels to drag when turning. If you are right at size 11 (mens), put your boots on the board and see how far they hang over. You can get bindings with "lifters" built in that lift your boot higher off the board and prevent your boot from touching in most conditions.

Good Luck
