I don't go because I don't think the prices are worth all the fighting with all those people. Good luck. 2D

Well, if you wan to be ahead of the others and guaranteed to get something you reallly really want, then go very early! It was pretty fun last year I went, I don't know where you live, but if it's cold bring a warm blanket, some chairs, drinks, something to entertain you while you sit there, a pillow. Just don't bring too much because once it's almost time to open it gets crazy. You can always put your stuff away 1hr before opening and get back in line. Yeah, it will be crowded but it will be fun.
Have fun and good luck shopping!

Get there as soon as the doors open, and know eactly what you want to buy. Check the coupons and ads this week to see which stores open when, and which items you want to buy for whom.
Don't waste time hemming and hawing - just buy it and return it later if you change your mind.
Don't insist on dragging a cart down every aisle - leave it on the end while you slip through the crowds, grab your items, and return to the cart.

Bring a purse that hangs across your body so you don't have to hold it, and slide a book into your purse to entertain you while you're standing in line.

Check out the Black Friday websites for deals. Many black friday ads are already released! Find a "favorite" store you want to go to.

When you find out what store you want to stake out first get there early! I'd say at least 2am but more and more people are going extremely early, I saw people lining up at Best Buy at 5pm on THURSDAY(THANKSGIVING DAY!) last year (crazy)!

It really depends on what you want and where you live, generally the best deals go fast, if you plan on getting something "big" like a laptop get there very very early (12-2am-ish). Any later and you have little/no chance of getting "big" items.

Also bring lots of blankets/jackets/chairs/heater to keep yourself comfortable and cards/tv/laptop/book/light to keep yourself occupied. Some bigger stores like Best Buy offer free coffee and donuts =) Good luck

Bring an ipod. For sure. It will literally be hell on earth. Be prepared to walk 2 miles to the mall from where you needed to park. Anything goes. You can hit children and the elderly if the try to grab at what you want. You need to be completely zen like when you are in the stores and just focus on whats going on in front of you. theres going to be clothes on the floor, thrown over maniquens and topless maniquens as well, shirts stuffed in jacket pockets, dirty tissues, diapers...anything you can imagine.

and wear some depends because you would rather wet your pants than go within 10 ft of any public restroom.

Shop the Ads for the businesses you plan on shopping at, get up early, and be patient! VERY PATIENT!!

You will run into all sorts of people. Ranging from super sweet to the mean, old, and ugly.

Its a tradition for my sisters and I. We love Black Friday!!!

Get there as EARLY as possible!!! I mean EARLY! You are going to run into HUGE crowds and GREAT deals. Target usually has AWESOME sales. Be prepaired to be happy, pissed off, road raged and maybe cry lol. My advice. Get up, get some coffee or hot chocolate throw on some christmas tunes and try to make the best of it!!! and keep good hold of your wallet!

Get there by midnight if you can, and bring lots and lots of layers and food/hot chocolate, it gets really cold

It helps to go with a group because then you can take turns to get stuff for the group and have some good company
