Ive got a 1998 camaro as stated, runs great, except when i go to put the passenger's window up. When the window gets about half way up, it begins to squeak and gets really slow. Sometimes it won't even make it all the way up and i have to push it up. My question is..do i need a new window motor or a regulator? I've heard both from some of my colleagues, but I'm not sure they really know. Please help.

First try lubeing up the door channels with lithium grease, you will have to take the door panel off to do this and get a brush and get the grease in both channels all the way up inside the door and then run the window up and down a few times to see if it cures your problem, if not you are looking at a new motor as yours could be getting weak.

Sounds like the regulator to me. Have you taken the door panel off and looked at it while it goes up and down?

Motor is getting tired or weak...just did one on my brother's 96 Z28. Have it replaced by a good shop as it is not an easy job and can be dangerous to do yourself.
