I've totally been down this road. I'm 18 and so is my boyfriend. We started dating two years ago, and at that time his life was pretty rough. A lot of family issues had happened, he drank, smoked weed, etc. I told him straight up that I could not date someone who did those things. Unfortunately, I caught him getting high two weeks later, after he promised me he wouldn't. I was devestated, and I had no idea what to do. I was really disappointed but I didn't scold him, I just informed him that I was concerned with his school performance and his choices. He stopped drinking/getting high and started going to church. Perfect right? Well I caught him get high about seven months later with his best friend, and we almost broke up over it. He knew then that I was serious. He hasn't gotten high since, but he did drink twice. Both of which were influenced by that same friend. He has his own sense of conviction now, and has sworn to never do it again. I know she may not give you credit for just wanting to be there for her, but keep letting her know that you just wanna look out for her. Apologize for coming off so strongly the other day (whenever you two got in a fight). Tell her you're concerned that she will get hurt and you never wanna lose her. If you approach the situation gently, she will respond best. If she decides she still wants to do it, try accompanying her to the party, BUT DO NOT CONTROL HER. Don't try to limit her drinks while there, she will just get annoyed and it will make the situation worse. Just be there as a support and to protect her, incase she does get overly intoxicated. If she doesn't heed your advice, she will likely make mistakes. If you think she is worth the struggle you will go through, be there for her and continue to be a positive influence. She will eventually come around; she's still young, but as she matures she will understand that getting drunk isn't the only way to have a good time. Remember: Be gentle, and be helpful, and be supportive. That's all you can really do, as trying to control her will only push her away. Best of luck! I hope things work out for you two!! :)

Depends on how fast you drink and how long you intend to keep it up. If you are like me, you would be diddle-dumb sick by 6:00pm.

Slightly early for me - but that's entirely your call. It's five o'clock somewhere, right?
