I dance for only two reasons.
1) To make it rain.
2) To shake my groove-thang!

I would imagine too, that at one time before people had a form of writing, dance could be used to tell a story. A book so to speak.

Some of the time it makes couples feel sexy. How else can you look sexy in public.
Others are so good at it it just makes them feel good to get alot of attention.
Some people do it for exercise.

They feel the music and they are ready to leave their reality behind for the fantasy the music creates for them - a fantasy of highs and lows and pounding beats that force them to respond. I'm sorry....what were we talking about?

I don't know, but it's been around forever.
why do people kiss? same answer.
but when you really, really think about dancing it's seems kind of pointless with random movements.
