How do you feel about it?

Of course it's disappointing. We are talking about the greatest game ever invented and how drugs have all but ruin it.

There are many more involved than just Barry Bonds. However, it's Bonds who holds the records. It's Bonds who never answered directly to anyone as the whether he took the drugs or not. It's Bonds who has never endeared himself to the fans or media. And it's Bonds who, for whatever reason, let Greg Anderson sit in a jail cell for more than a year because he wouldn't answer the Grand Jury questions pertaining to steroid availability to Bonds.

I'm disappointed because baseball is supposed to be a game and a representation of fun and enjoyment. All it has become is a dirty business like most other businesses.

I'm disappointed because baseball (Bud Selig) let this charade continue knowing that the Grand Jury had the goods on Bonds in the first place.

I'm disappointed because millions of baseball fans paid out ridiculous amounts of money for outrageous ticket prices for the opportunity to watch this pointless home run race take place.

Finally I will remain disappointed because Bud Selig who is just as guilty as anyone will never have to explain himself for allowing this additional revenue to be gained by baseball at the expense of the fans.

I am not disappointed. Players never have been nor never will be angels. They are just like everyone else they will lie, cheat and do anything they can to succeed. Why do we sit back doing all the things we do and point our fingers at them and expect them to be perfect? Would anyone really enjoy sports if it was played by a bunch of goody - two shoes? Would you really enjoy baseball if their had been no home - run chase? No! This is how sports works. Let the governing agents do the best they can to catch violators and let the rest of us try not to act surprised and horrified when athletes act like normal, driven human beings.

Being a baseball fan I am very disappointed with the Bonds situation, and also very concerned as to how MLB will deal with it. Historically, MLB does not handle these kinds of situations very well.

I am probably the only one who will say it: yes I'm disappointed. A large number of ball players used steroids starting in the 90s because it wasn't against the rules to do so (McGwire, Canseco to name a few). Why should he get in trouble now? Seems to me it's too late to charge him. If steroids was really a problem, the baseball commissioner should have taken care of it in the 90s.

It's absolutely ridiculous that the federal government is indicting him. I mean, we are at war! And THIS is what the Fed's and the attorney general is spending time and money on? There are REAL criminals out there who the feds should be focusing on. Blackwater, Haliburton, etc. The Dept of Justice is worrying about THIS? It's madness...there are TRUE issues...Jena 6, etc. I'm outraged at our gov't. It's really ridiculous.

I'm disappointed it took 5 years to finally proceed with charges against him.

At least now the facts will be made from all parties for people to make an informed decision on.

One thing is certain, if found guilty his records will be removed from MLB.. a modern day Pete Rose.

I think it's pretty much what I expected of it, it's sad that he had to resort to 1) cheating then 2) lying.

But overall, I think we put athletes/actors on too high of a pedestal anyway, they are just human and not all the time are they even nice or smart.

I am not disappointed. I am very pleased that there is now proof that the record is tainted and Henry Aaron is the real HR king.
