I am a gemini and interested in a virgo male. Signs say these two are not too compatable in the long haul, but I feel compatable with him? any input?

I have a lot of Gemini friends. And I often find myself attracted to Gemini males. It's definitely possible, don't worry about what the books say. The great thing about Virgo and Gemini is that they're sort of astrological cousins. They're both ruled by Mercury (which makes them both talkative and communicative) and they're both mutable signs (which makes them both flexible and adaptable). They really connect with each other on an intellectual level and can talk about a ton of different subjects with each other.

A warning, though, is that Virgo loves routine and will settle very happily into one once love has been declared, but Gemini, on the other hand, needs excitement and constant stimulation. Gemini loves the twittery feeling of *falling* in love, Virgo loves the security of *maintaining* love. Gemini is a free-spirited social butterfly who loves to flutter around with his or her head in the clouds. Virgo is solid and practical and keeps his or her feet planted firmly on the ground. Virgo can be fussy and tends to dislike spontaneity or anything that disturbs his/her routine. Gemini lives for spontaneity. So, in the long run you may need to continue to entice Virgo to try new things and Virgo will probably have to adjust to your fluttery, flirtatious ways. But sure, it can work if you keep those lines of communication open. Because you're both wonderful communicators and that's what you have in common.

There's more to astrology than I am an Aries and you are a Gemini. That's just the sun sign. There are several other signs to take into consideration, as well as the houses they are in and their aspects to each other. If you want the real deal of if astrology finds you compatible or not, have a respected astrologer compare the charts of both of you. Only then will you have an accurate answer. However, keep in mind that whether you are compatible or not does not indicate a successful relationship. There is still free will and choice. A couple can be extremely compatible but if they make stupid mistakes or choose to think of themselves before others, it's guaranteed to spell failure for the relationship.
