Rumor has it that the Ducks will put him on waivers and they have recalled Hiller from the minors. Bryz is in the last year of his contract and will be a UFA at the end of the season. Any guesses?

Erica-Pens make sense, but don't think he make it there, as Buffalo has a worse record and could use the help. Possibly the Caps or even New Jersey? Again just guessing!

andrew e- I metioned Buffalo as a backup, as they seem reluctant to use Thibault.
njdss- Yes, Weeks is OK as a back-up, Just thought Bryz could give Brodeur the kick in the pants he seems to need.

Before the season started, I would have gladly agreed to give Theodore, Budaj, AND one more good player to the Ducks in exchange for Bryz (of course, my opinion doesn't matter, but I would have agreed with that). But today, for some miraculous reason; BOTH of the Avs goalies are playing great! I will say right now, we don't NEED Bryzgalov. I think the best place for him to go could even be Chicago. Khabibulin has lost his touch since he won the Cup, I think Bryz would do well in the windy city.

It wont' be New Jersey, Laying Low. They have Brodeur til he retires and Weekes is a competent backup. I doubt Pittsburgh, too, as the Pens would have to move Fleury or Sabourin to make room for Bryzgalov and I just don't see that happening.
I say he ends up with St. Louis or Washington. Legace has never played a full season as starter and he'll tire out eventually, and Kolzig just isn't getting any younger. Bryzgalov could turn a team around like Biron has in Philly.

I have to say the Caps, Buffalo is way to invested in Ryan Miller not to mention he is a great goaltender if they just put a defense in front of him. As much as i dislike Marc Andre Fleury for his inconsistency, the Pens will stick with him. The Caps need him, Kolzig is way to old and caps need to improve there team if Ovechkin ever hopes to win anything.
Understandable but Bryz has shown he can be a starter in this league and if it is up to him i think he wants that chance, i still say the caps given he will ultimatly get the most playing time there.

Anaheim and Tampa Bay have already agreed to a couple of deals that would have sent Bryzgalov to Tampa (one in the summer and one in October) but the change in Tampa ownership and perceived need to dump Bryzgalov's salary as soon as possible has Anaheim scrambling at this point.
(Insert Niedermayer and Selanne rumour here - everybody else is)
Prior to that, Tampa and San Jose had agreed on a deal that would have sent Nabokov to Tampa, but the Sharks wouldn't take Bell.

Tampa Bay would be the best destination I have to think.
For everyone saying wtf is going on here? Obviously:
-Ducks think they don't lose anything or much with hiller
-They could not find a real trade
-Freeing up capspace for another forward would be my best guess

He's welcome to come play for the Pittsburgh Penguins! Marc-Andre Fleury needs someone older to mentor AND challenge him. Bryzgalov is better than any goalie Fleury's worked with.
EDIT: I wasn't saying it's likely... but a girl can dream, right??
