I have always liked the TSX. With that sweet Nav system in it.
Is there anything as good, for the same 30,000?
Volvo s40 not as good.
not a huge BMW fan.
anything?

it seems like you cannot find a used txs. a 1 or 2 year old used tsx is the same price as a brand new one

i am the proud owner of a 06 Milano red/ebony 6speed tsx with nav, bought new 11/17/06. it now has 30,000+ miles, gets excellent gas mileage, has more than enough power for me and cost less than $30,000. I would recommend it. The g-35 is a good car with probably more power and a higher price tag to go along with it. If you want to go that route check out the Lexus i-250 or the Mazda-speed 6. try out the ford fusion, pontiac gto, new honda accord, so many to choose from

I think the TSX is extremely overpriced. It is very slow and the interior is bland.. it looks exactly like what it is.. a european market Honda Accord with leather seats. Lexus IS250 has a great interior but it is very slow as well.

if you can find a Subaru WRX STi Limited I think that is a much better 4 door car.. the STi Limited has exceptional performance and an ok interior that in my opinion is similar to the TSX in terms of quality

Its too bad you aren't a BMW fan. there is a reason why most people think of the 3 series as the benchmark of the segment and the TSX as a very distant also-ran. the 335i has a fantastic motor, a solid interior, and the improved driving dynamics that come with rear wheel drive

I own a 2005 Honda Accord EX V6 coupe with navi.
On the inside it is identical to the TSX, but on the outside it looks a little more sporty and it has the V6 engine instead of the 4 Cylinder.
If you might be interested in the V6 with even more power and almost as good of fuel consumption then either the Accord EX-L sedan or the Accord EX V6 coupe would be great choices, since they are identical to the TSX on the inside.
Hope this helps.

For the dollar range, nothing quite comes up to the TSX when it comes to matching the blend of style, performance, handling, amenities, build quality, resale, etc.

The only other car in the same range & class & with the similar features is the IS250, a very nice machine. However, performance-wise, it offers nothing over the TSX...the TSX out-handles the 250. Also, you'll pay lots more $$ to get an IS250 equipped to the level the TSX comes as the standard offering...one of the nice things about Honda/Acura.

The TSX is a repackaged version of the European Accord. It remains Honda's very best tuning effort at a mid-sized chassis...the car handles superbly, and though not overpowered, is NOT underpowered. Some TSX enthusiasts demanding more oomph will add forced induction. Rumors go that the new TSX will be equipped with the RDX's power train (240HP supercharged 4 Cly).

I drive an '06 TL, but could have been as happy with the TSX.

I own a TL and I looked into the TSX a few years ago - I agree with you it is underpowered. I was reading an article about the new Accord the V6 is a 3.5L w/ 268hp, just like the V6 Camry. I was fairly impressed. I don't know how they "ride" in comparrison to the TSX, but the price is better and they have more power.

Don't listen to those folks wanting you to buy American - those new domestics look good now, but we'll see how they do in a few years - even if they are still running they won't have much resale value.

TSX is a four cylinder, so I would compare it with the Camry LE 4 cyl. Add the Nav if U want, For just a little more get the LEXUS IS250 it has a 6 cyl. Or find an older Lexus IS300 with a nav and all the options for $20k and Under.

Not impressed with anything out of Japan, too many toys and for some reason, the cars looks like worn out after a few years.

As far nav system. My brother has a TL and the voice activated / nav stuff on it. Is nice to have but is not a must have. Most of the time I know where I am at. I have done lots of road trips without a map, just following road signs. A Garmin, DeLorme or other GPS receiver are nice, compact, can be installed on your next car and cheaper. This types of nav systems are better suited for Flight or Sea, most ground nav are pretty easy.

A gadget like that will not determine my reason for purchase.

TSX is the ecu Accord...shall we no longer learn an Accord to the three sequence and C class, better to apply the TL. i'd take the three sequence, then C class, then TL. yet i'd take the IS350 over all of them, and G35 after that.

The TSX is a damn nice car, but I agree with some that it's underpowered.

If you really like Acura, look at the TL.

Take a look at the 08 4 cylinder Accord EX-L. It's a better car then the TSX and you'll save $5K.
