If you have "CoolWebSearch in your registry, download the free version of Superantispyware. This software give you automatic updates daily and will find what all other antispyware programs miss.

Perform an indepth scan and then reboot if asked. Best to perform two scans when spyware or a trojan is found and reboot. This way you know for sure that you are safe the spyware or trojan is destroyed.

I use the program myself.

Since you don't have the log posted I can't off hand tell you which entries to delete. And to be honest removing the wrong entries from the log can totally screw up your pc if you don't know what you are doing.

I would suggest this as an alternate solution. Download Spyware Doctor Starter Edition, best spyware remover on the market. Up date it and scan your pc. I would also download SuperAntispyware which has a nack for removing some of the worst malware you can get on your pc. Do complete scans with both of these malware cleaners and they should remove this malware. In some instances booting into safe mode might be necessary to remove this malware as well, but first try it in normal mode.

After you finished with these two scans go to Trend Micro HouseCall online to do a free online scan of your pc to remove and left over malware.

Guaranteed to work 100% and totally free. Trust me!

Try running the hijack this reader, it will give you instructions on what should be deleted, just doublecheck the results with a search of the file/program it informs you to delete

Ask Google for a CoolWWWSearch removal tool. If it lists one, download it and run it. If not, run several antispyware scans and if the intruder is still there, you may have to resort to editing your registry to get rid of it. If you are not comfortable doing this, leave it to a tech who has experience in this area. Screwing up your registry can cause the rig not to run at all.

PCTools products do get good reviews. The good thing is they have free versions of their products. They work great. Spyware Doctor from the Google pack is a must. I highly recommend it. I bought Webroots Spysweeper and spyware doctor finds stuff spysweeper does not. Having both is a perfect combo and I recommend running two anti-spyware products.

You can do an online scan for viruses and spyware for free from the major vendors. Some of these require Internet Explorer to run because of Active-X

Its good to run two anti-spywares even if some extra resources are taken.

SuperAntiSpyware does an excellent job. AVG's full version gets great reviews.

Anti-Spyware for a cost.
Personally I bought Webroot's Spysweeper, their product is great and well worth the money. Watch Best Buy ads because sometimes it goes on sale for $10 to $15.

There are free anti-virus scanners availble. They work well. I like AVG and PCTools anti-viruses the best of the free anti-virus programs.
If you are not willing to spend money it is good to have some kind of anti-virus software
