I think it was Norman Lear's weakest sitcom! Mckenzie Phillips was a mess and Richard was so boring. Schneider was a wannabee playa and Bonnie Franklin was crosseyed! Opinions?

Considering the time line for this sitcom I think it was very inovative and bold. A single mom raising two teen kids was not the normal type of sitcom you would have found back then. Schneider was supposed to be a wanna be player, that was the pont of the role he played. Mckenzie Phillips did indeed have major problems, but despite that was a good actress and played her role well. I feel it was a fresh different type of show that set a presedence for future shows.........

I think it was revolutionary as it depicted the plight of the single mother trying to raise two hot daughters while not wearing a bra and doing the sleazy janitor. It was groundbreaking...

I like All In the Family better I wasn't crazy about that show.

It was comical before it's time. It's a hundred times funnier to watch it now.

I never liked it either, I didnt like that maintenance guy, but Valerie Bertinelli was cute. Well, more than that, she was gorgeous.
