Some overly politically correct people have a problem with "Ho Ho Ho". I can say, as a feminist and a woman, that WOMEN do not want to ruin Christmas/Santa.
It is very silly to relate Santa's jolly "Ho Ho Ho", with the slang for prostitute. I think we can all assume he's not calling children hookers!

I still dont get what the connection is between Ho Ho Ho and women--am I missing something here?
Anybody who tries to change words and traditions are just boring killjoys who aint got a life, so they try and ruin it for others. I reckon that Santas across the world will be "Ho Ho Hoing" louder than ever, and good luck to them.

Saying WOMEN is not a correct statement. I disagree with the fact that Santa should have to say HA HA HA. It stupid. Ho Ho Ho for YEARS!! I would think he was laughing at me instead wishing me a Merry Christmas.

Australia started this craziness. If some woman is offended by Santa saying ho ho ho, she should stop being one. Santa has been saying ho ho ho for years, and he's always been fat and jolly - leave him the heck alone.

I'm not ruining Christmas, but I just heard that store Santas aren't allowed to say "ho, ho, ho" anymore so as not to disrespect women. Give me a break will ya?

They made Santa quit smoking his pipe years ago, so this HO HO HO does not surprise me.

What, are they afraid little kids are going to think Santa is out solicting for a one night stand? Cheese and Rice, the man has a list of all the naughty girls in the world, he has a one night stand with them on a yearly basis. Would ANY man have any energy for more?? Come on now!

Oh crap now some PC person is going to say "oh that's true, we have to NOT let Santa have that list of naughty girls, now we must make him deliver presents during the DAY too"

You know what I say to all that? The same thing my little ol' Grandma in Sicily used to say to Grandpa
"Hey..Fucka dat!!"

Lack of brain power. Santa's laugh has nothing to do with women. Those who are offended by it aren't very bright and should use correct English. It's whore, not ho. A hoe is a garden tool. Using the term 'ho' for a loose woman is lazy. Just use the whole word, it sounds less ignorant.

If you live in the ghetto, it does. But not for the rest of us. I didn't realize they had ghettos in Australia, which is where all this objection started. I wonder now if Hostess Ho Ho's will be pulled off the shelves. Along with Ding Dongs, which demean men and little boys. Gosh, where to start, hee hee!

People are so crazy now and swear EVERYTHING is offensive and has to be politically correct. How is he santa if he doesn't say "HO HO HO" It's stupid. People need to just shut up and worry about their own lives and watch their own children. Before you know it, christmas will be cancelled because stockings offend people without feet, candy canes will offend people who need canes to walk, presents offend poor people, christmas elves offend little people, christmas trees offend people of religions that don't celebrate christmas(oh wait, that's already happening.) People are too uptight now.

The words weren't banned. Some shopping-mall Santa-employer in Australia suggested that they not use the phrase.

Kids are brilliant mimics. Since that word has taken on another meaning, it *could* lead to some really awkward moments. The real debate is how much we want to shelter our kids from that possibility instead of taking the time to explain that they're not really the same word.

Look at all of the people here who've taken a news sound byte and turned it into an anti-feminist rant. If the adults can't make that sort of distinction, why on earth should we expect the kids to?
