My SIL rearended the Caravan and there is some damage to pass. door, but none to my Scion xb, which is made of cheap plastic, so I'm even doubting she really hit her, but am willing to pay a reasonable amount. Any suggestions on reasonable from an auto body specialist or anyone who would know such things?

If it's just a paint transfer-type scrape, it may be able to be buffed it out for 50.00 or less. If there's a visible dent, a paintless dent repair person may be able to remove the dent for around 75.00 providing the paint is not cracked. If the paint is cracked or the dent is too sharp or in an area that cannot be accessed for PDR, repairing and repainting the door may run 300-500.00 to allow for blending the paint.
It does not take much to dent a door with little evidence of damage to your car. Make sure the dent or scrape corresponds to the height or color of your bumper...it could have been there before the incident. Examine it closely. If your car rear-ended the Caravan, how did the damage occur to the pass door? or do you mean tailgate?
