yes a guy in a suit with a case came to the door about 4 years ago selling house alarms.
he had a card a name badge and everything.
in the case he had a house alarm and books of all the add on's i could buy with the alarm.
the alarm was 249.99 i picked fitted and he told me that i had to pay 50 pounds non refundable deposit and explained that it was because sometimes when the engineers call to fit the alarm the person is not in.If i failed to be in when they called to fit the alarm i would have to pay another fifty quid, it sounded so real lol.
so i gave him 50 quid we arranged a time and date and i never sore him again.
i rang the local police and found out i was one in hundreds that had been hit with this con, they had gone around each town and had hundreds over with the 50 quid scam

yes, but i liked it because it educated me.
the art of a con, in my opinion, is that you still like the person that conned you after the event. its a skill if done properly and boy was i done properly but i look upon it as one of lifes experiences and my own stupidity for getting caught.
if you ever do get conned, don't take it personally and get all worked up, the man or woman that conned you were just very good at what they do and you didn't see it coming, thats all. just be more aware in the future

No. I was taught at a young age that things don't come free. Some people work at getting the things they want, and some work at taking it away from them.
