he sits up unassisted for long periods of time. he rolls over all the time. he has tried to bring himself up by grabbing the top of the crib or a table but yet he's not crawling. he says "mama", "papa", "bye bye" and "hi." he has two teeth and he knows how to give hugs and kisses. He also lifts his arms up when he wants to be held. If he loses an object, he looks for it at the location where he lost it.

He is ok. My niece didn't crawl until she was 11 months cause she knew all she had to do was cry and someone would pick her up. Then on her own, she finally started trying and she started crawling. My sister took her to the doctor and he told her she is just being lazy, which was true. Every kid is different and if he's doing all those things like sitting, saying words, he's fine. Before you know it, you'll be chasing him around the house. He'll do it at his own time.

Sounds like your baby is doing great! No rush for the baby to crawl. By the way my cousin went from literally sitting to walking at 9 months!

No, its okay. Most babies are only just starting to get up on all fours at 8 months- so its normal. Some babies never crawl and go straight to walking.

Each baby is different. My son started crawling at 5 months, My brother never crawled but just got up and walked one day. To each his own :)

not all babies start crawling at 8 months so just give it some time and he might start crawling

but start putting him on the ground more and when he just sits there tell him to come to you and maybe he'll get the idea.

My baby is quite that old yet. But I didn't start to craw till after I walked. Some babys just don't want to. There is nothing wrong but if you are worried talk to your doctor. Just remember every baby is different.

I wouldn't start worrying yet; my nephew skipped crawling all together and just decided to start walking one day...I'm sure your son is just fine.
