My best friend of over 12 years has recently started having an affair. My problem is I know both of the women involved, neither know that I know, but its very uncomfortable when we are all together. You see, the woman he is having the affair is, his mother in law. We all live in the same sub division, hang out quite often, BBQ's, movie night, etc... What should I do?

He is having an affair with his gf's mother?
I say, he is your friend, you have no obligation to the 2 women. I would just talk to your friend and try to convince him that what he is doing is wrong. And try to get him to stop. I don't think you should tell the 2 women involved. Just work on your friend.

Find someone else to hang out with for a while. If you get involved and rat out your best friend, then that will effect your relationship. Only other option would be to send an anonymous note to the ladies he's cheating on and with.

Wow......the guy is having sex with his wife and her mother?
Sounds like the mother is having a tough time with a mid-life crisis and not putting into perspective the amount of anguish she will cause. Not only to the relationship she has with her daughter, but the animosity that will expand into the rest of the family.
The husband is a sleaze bag.
Eventually, he'll get caught. But for you to say anything to your friend about it might cost you your friendship, even though you have her best interests at heart.

I would think long and hard on how to involve the wife in catching them some how, that way you are doing the right thing just a lil dirty? She really needs to know that is so disgusting, shame full, the list goes on. Good luck, tell the wife!

Stay out of it. Possibly stay away from them. Because when the crap hits the fan you don't want to be any where near that situation. Explain to your best friend that you aren't comfortable with the situation and won't be able to hang around as much.

Please tell the poor wife what an *** she has for a Mother! Forget the husband and just talk to the wife alone tell her she has to keep it between the two of you how she found out. Maybe drop hits for her so she can put it together her self.

The only innocent person here is your friend's wife. Her mother and her husband are both behaving terribly selfishly. She deserves to know the truth.

Tell your best friend that you know and you do not think it is a good idea. If you found out I am sure his wife will find out.

Confront your friend and tell him he has to tell his wife. You do not appreicate being put in the situation, and that you will not tolerate it. Never put someone a priority, when they treat you like an option.
