only as good as the person fitting it. an expensive kitchen can look cheap if its not fitted correctly and vice versa.

The main package of kitchen units can present very good value for money. HOWEVER, it's the little trimmings where they make serious profits. I bought a 2.4m plinth to go with my solid oak units but the plinth which was just a 12mm x 100mm plastic foil coated piece of chipboard that cost a fortune at about 5 times the price that an oak veneered piece of contiboard would cost and probably a lot more than a solid piece of oak would have cost. So, buy the basic units but buy the extras elsewhere.

Excellent quality, but they warn you when you buy not to rip out your old kitchen before the new one arrives. There's a reason for this. Half the bits will be missing. It will then take a very long time to get the missing parts. But, as I said, I can't fault the quality or price.

I would recommend MFI for kitchen units. I have had the initial carcasses for quite a few years and I just keep swapping the door units when I get fed up with the color, The fittings have still remained the same.after all these years. B&Q may be a little cheaper but I don't think the quality is there. It depends on what you are looking for and how much you want to spend.

Yes very good kitchens
I have the gloss white It is now 3 years old and still looks like new.
My mum has one thats 12 years old and was looking a bit dated.
I bought all new doors and they still fit so it looks like she got a new kitchen.

for what it would cost you I would go for an Ikea kitchen, majority of their kitchens are 25 year guarentee!
I did our kitchen which was 18 x 11 ft, I had solid wood worksurfaces, belfast sink, cream units (shaker style) and glass cabinets all for £2'000. The kitchen fitter was very impressed with the quality as well.

the kitchens are pretty good quality but they charge a lot to fit them find a self employed kitchen fitter or joiner and you will save yourself a fortune.

Yes they are, but get someone else to fit it, don't use B&Q fitters.
