Please buy a few things first. That way, you can learn how it works without inconveniencing a customer. If you go ahead without ever having bought anything, you will make mistakes that will be reflected in your feedback, and nobody buys from a seller with bad feedback. Also, buying will allow you to get some positive feedback, which really helps. The buyers look for those numbers before they buy.

Join the Ebay discussion groups and read what they have already said on these subjects.

Ebay has a calculator that charges the tax for you, if you tell it what state you are in. Get a tax number from your state (it's free) and they will send you a form when it's time for you to file. The form will ask how much you made overall, and then how much you made in your own state. You hand over the tax on the stuff you sold to customers who live in your own state.

I have been selling on Ebay for years now. I sell my daughter's clothes, household items...really anything. I have had very good luck. I allow them to pay thru Paypal because it is safe and easy. They do deduct a portion of your profit though. But alot of buyers feel secure using it and it increases profit. DO NOT TAKE PERSONAL CHECKS! Big mistake. Too many bad ones that bounce and cost you. I do take money orders. Ebay has an extensive 'how to' section on selling and a lot of FAQ's for anything you need. Feel free to contact me personally with any questions. You will probably have more questions on shipping then anything. Good luck!!

The a million which you spot is the completed "watchers" of your merchandise. probability is they have a matching merchandise & are waiting to work out what yours sells for. in case you had a shopper the typical public sale could have ended & you're able to get an e mail from ebay. despite you sell, ensure you upload transport confirmation for data of transport.
