This question has no units. As far as I know one could be feet and the other inches. It would make a big difference. But lets assume that both are in inches. Then 2/3 would be longer.

This is because (5/8)(3/3) is less than (2/3)(8/8)
so: 15/24 is less than 18/24.

There aren't units attached to this, but I am assuming that the units would be the same for either measurement.

Hello Sydney D,

if the fractions are representing a measure of length then the 2/3 figure is larger and therefore longer.

5/8 x 3/3 = 15/24
2/3 x 8/8 = 16/24 the winner!
