yet yet another step in this long, and high priced, slog in direction of one very final public mudbath throughout Bonds, which will end, so as of possibility, with (a) acquittal, (b) dismissal of all expenditures, or (c) conviction with some slap-on-the-wrist penalty. damn, this has been one foul witchhunt. bearing directly to the only upside is that it appears that evidently to very practically be over. This, incredibly the criminal case in the past the courtroom, isn't approximately what Bonds used. the charges are perjury and obstruction of justice, and simply by the immensely sloppy grand jury thinking, Bonds is probable going to stroll. properly, he's the profession checklist-holder at doing that. optimistic, the courtroom of public opinion, continuously witless for the prosecution, needs Bonds got here upon responsible responsible responsible of making use of "steriods". recover from yourselves, bumpkins -- he did. you obtain your pound of flesh years in the past. start up dealing with it. that's no longer a center project in this intending. The guvvermint has made a critically botched job of its case, and it probable (never have faith a jury) will circulate down the drain. Geez, in simple terms enable it end. ---------- As for the "action picture star has its privileges" meme -- hellfire, if this indictment became into filed against Joe Doofus and not Barry Bonds, the entire mess could have been dropped years in the past. It probable never might have reached indictment. The DOJ and Agent Novitzky have been drooling on the potential for nailing Bonds, and have completed practically as many incorrect issues as achieveable without thoroughly derailing the complaints. have been it no longer Bonds, it never might have come this some distance.

Let me start by saying that I am not a fan of Barry Bonds the person. As a player, he has no equals though. Look at it like this - Did he use steroids and lie about it? Yes. However, the majority of the other players in baseball probably also used them at one time or another and none of them can do what Barry did. That's how I see things anyway.

He was a fool he should have just said that he use them ,to the Grand Jury and not worry so much about his legacy ,he should have known you can not trust anyone to keep they mouth shut .. they would not have banned him ,, there have been players who say they use them , Fan have a short memory ,, Everyone still talk about Pete Rose and he bet on baseball,, I bet Barry wished he had beenmore forthright I see a lot people keep saying that Bonds was so surly and full of him self .. but have you ever tried to get an autoghaft fron a pro player in any sport most of them could care less about you or your kid looking up to they it is all about the money sure a few are nice but not many.

I'm not really a fan of Barry. I always thiught he was too arrogant and full of himself, like he's better than the rest of us mortals. The only reason the Giants kept him was to draw in fans to the park when he was going for the HR record. Maybe now he will realize he is only human. Maybe he can share a cell with OJ.

I still laugh why would he commit another crime when Johnny cockrine died. He's not getting off this time. SUCKER!!!

I think that since "president" bill clinton purgered himself to a grand jury while acting as the chief law officer in our country and as an employee of the American people...that a baseball player that lied to cover his ample booty should be sent off to teach under privlaged children the game, slapped on the wrist and end of story.

I dont really care, it's not going to change peoples opinion of him either way.
The only problem I have with it is the news hysteria it's caused, write a news story about it, write a few editorials and be done with it instead of covering it 24 hours a day when nothing is happening.

It's not that complicated, guys. He told the grand jury that he didn't knowingly take any steroids. It is a case of perjury, which essentially is what he was charged with.
Come on who has there shoe grow from 10 to 13?
He is a liar and a cheat

What everyone needs to understand is that he is NOT being prosecuted for using; he's being prosecuted for lying under oath to a Grand Jury.
C Weber got a slap on the wrist when he was caught lying but this is much bigger.

I think if he is guilty of taking steriods, he should lose his title, and also he should serve time for perjury. Kids look up to pro, atheletes as role models, and I think the world has gone in a very sad direction. what happened to old fashioned talent? It makes me sick. Just look at the wrestler who killed his family and himself, and It was suggested that he was on growth hormone, its just so sad.
