I left school at 4:30 today, and after school there was a rehearsal in the room next to the department I was in, and every now and there I heard "No no no, Stick to the Status Quo", and I recognised it somehow. So I went on Youtube, typed it in, and there's the song.
I think it was on BBC a while ago, and I must hvae caught a bit of it.
So, anyone know what its about??

Its about this girl and boy that go on holiday, and have to get up and sing on stage. They get each others number, and dont see each other after that until Gabrielle ( the girl ) goes to Troys ( the boys) school, and they enter a competiton for the winter musiclal and he doesnt tell his friends that he is doing it as he is the coach of the basketball team, and then they find out, and every one starts confessing to their secret hobbies. all his friends come up with a plan to get them not to do the musical, and it works but then they let them do it. Sharpay ( the girl that doesnt want them to star in the musical) puts the call backs on the same day as a big basketball match and a science competition which they are both in, so they come up with a plan together so they can do both, and then they all start singing, and thats basically what happens

pretty much what everyone else said.. but yea its about 2 teens that dont know each toher and meet when their families are on a ski mountain.. they are forced to sing toghether and then months later the girl just happens to have moved to where the boy lives... she decided to audition for the school musical and he ends up doing the same, however its a problem when he is a major jock who is popular and afriad of what his friends and the rest of the school will thnik of him

They fall in love, but another girl trys to break them up. The girl who likes the boy and is trying to steal him is in the musical, but when the girl in love with the boy finally gets courage she sings with him on stage.
Boring in my opinion. :/

I haven't seen it, but it seems geared toward high school kids (and younger); it's a Disney film, so it's likely pretty tame and predictable.

yeah, its about teenagers from different backgrounds who want to take part in a musical. Thats the short version. Theres a sequel too. When i first saw it i slaughtered it but its grown on me. Watch it.

ya it's about people who can't sing in a highschool that is so fake it makes me gag and wanna puke! Its HSM and it is about kids who can't sing, and who have "Drama" in their everyday life. If you don't watch it, your not missing anything really.
