Too much technology.
Yes, I know I'm answering your technology assisted question while using my own technology.
But, that's essentially it.

I believe a lot of Americans would do those jobs that the illegal immigrants take, but they need to be on the same footing as the illegals, i.e. not have to have taxes and other deductions taken from their pay. If they were on the same footing, the illegals wouldn't even want to do those jobs for the pay they currently do them for, if they were also going to pay taxes and deductions out of their paycheques. However, most Americans won't work "under the table" for such crappy wages as illegals will, because Americans have a bit of pride in that they don't like to be taken advantage of by the businesses who hire "under the table" employees and pay them illegal slave wages. I agree that the American welfare system has gotten too soft and easy for too many American citizens and that system needs a good overhauling, too. There is no excuse for able bodied Americans to be sitting on their butts collecting welfare, even if they have children. However, I object less to an American citizen sitting on welfare than to an illegal immigrant collecting it because of the simple fact that the American is entitled to it and the illegal immigrant is NOT. American citizens pay taxes to pay for the welfare system for needy Americans, not for illegal immigrants.

You've clearly never been outside this country. It's illegal to work over 36 hours a week in France. USA has some of the hardest working people in the entire world.
And we have to, we have to support all the free loaders on welfare (where do you think that money comes from?)

The entire western world in becoming increasingly lazy. When you're comfortable and surrounded by convenience, why work hard, put yourself out, etc.? Complacency breeds laziness.

Fast food, chips and cookie section a mile long in the grocery section, food providers adding too much fat to foods. It all goes back to diet because after eating all those calories people just don't have any energy left.
