Yes, yes it does.....
I think in select theaters they don't allow the popcorn to stay on the floor for no more than six hours before they scrape it up to sell to the next select guest.

As long as it has lots of butter and salt and isn't stale it should cost the going market price for theater popcorn. I'll negotiate for a better price if I think it's too high and if I don't get it, I give the ticket person a wedgie, throw their stool through the snack counter glass display and run like hell before the cops show up.

Not sure exactly what you mean by "select theatres", but some theatres do have better popcorn than others, althought I usually don't eat popcorn at the movie theatre because I love the butter and the butter makes me very sick!!!

Popcorn is popcorn. Sometimes it's a little bit sweeter, but not enough to sway me one way or the other.
And yes, it's more expensive!
