What is the most messed up thing you have seen in a mosh pit?

For me, it happened at a Slayer show in Jan. 1995 at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. I noticed a group of Suicidals (hispanic street gang) lining up outside the pit. Even though I wanted to slam so bad, my street sense told me to sit it out. Low and behold, one guy (probably a teenager) was doing his thing in the pit and inadverently elbowed one of the Suicidals. All of a sudden I see about ten gang members jumping him. But it gets worse; one of the gang pulls out a knife and starts stabbing the $hit out of this poor guy. Eventually security got a handle of the situation and the show kept going, but the festive mood got f**ked up.

I saw Suicidal Tendancies at the Olympic Auditoium in Los Angeles in the mid /late 80's and a band named Beowulf opened and someone said they were nazi's and so a group of guys knocked the microphone into the lead singers mouth and blood gushed everywhere- everyone in the audience was fighting- no joke 1000 people were pounding on each other and just me and my 2 brothers sat and watched it all before the cops came. There was a small riot after the concert also.

Well in highschool one of my friends got stabbed by some wannabe gangsters the always crashed the house shows.
But i dont know if they had **** going on before the show.
What I thought was messed up though a couple of months ago we were at a Slayer show and my husband was in a pit around a bonfire and this guy tried to knock him into the fier, but my husband saw him and brought his *** down instead.
So the guy got up and left everyone kept moshing, then he came back with like 6 other guys and they jumped on my husband from behind. So my cousin in law and some other guys that were there started pushing the guys off of him and it turned into this big fight over one ******** little ***** that couldnt hang. I mean we've seen worse accidents you know my *** got knoked of my buddy's shoulders his *** is about 7' tall i got kicked and stepped on. But thats part of the game right i mean in pits nobody knows eachother and people hurt eachother unintentionally but thats just how it is. If your goanna be in a pit deal with it and ******* move on dont be little ***** and start a fight over it and ruin other peoples fun.

At a High On Fire gig a couple of years ago there was this drunk guy standing in the middle of a group of females. He kept pushing and grabbing at them. Well eventually they got sick of his crap and proceeded to beat the crap out of him. Two of the girls grabbed him and held him while the other three or four punched, kicked, and slapped him. They eventually dragged him to the ground and stomped him. He got thrown out of the pit by the girls and ended up in a pil by the wall.
Another time I was at the Key Club in Hollywood and some idiot on the balcony decided to jump into the crowd to try and crowd surf. When the crowd saw him jumping toward them they all proceeded to part like the red sea. He broke several bones and just layed there kind of convulsing until the paramedics got to him.

Wow! I've been to several concerts, and never have I witnessed anything like that. The only thing weird I've seen (but it wasn't in a mosh pit) was some stoned up guy running to and fro each wall , this was at a Finntroll concert last month. Kind of funny really seeing him run full speed at a wall and letting himself smack up against it real hard. Other than that the people have been easy going.

Mine isn't quite that dramatic nor unique. It was a Ministry concert back in 1995. People in the mosh pit were getting sucker punched at random. Other than that, it's been smooth sailing at concerts for me.

Yeah. you would be shocked the place they have mosh pits... a minimum of interior the united kingdom, all of us is ridiculous and initiate mosh pits at techno concert activities. xD according to threat no longer litereally. yet I mean, hardcore Dancing at metallic concert activities is very just about the comparable. xD

Wow, nothing as messed up at somebody getting stabbed, holy-craper-ola, remind me to NEVER get in the pit with those guys!

I did she this one chick in a pit (seems like it was at the Jagermeister tour) and she was being a real "tough" chick and really slamming into this one guy. He punched her in the stomach and she threw up right in the middle of the pit. I've never seen a pit scatter so fast... Ugh.

Nothing THAT scary, that's for sure.

Aside from the standard mosh-pit antics, and as a girl in a mosh pit - the "guys who use a mosh pit as an excuse to feel up a girl" antics (yes, I've been victim to THAT more times that I'd like to admit to!), probably one of the dumbest things I've ever seen was at a KMFDM show:

There were a group of about 15 guys, all of whom were linebacker-sized, arm-in-arm, standing at what they marked as the back of the pit. When KMFDM took the stage, they charged to the front, still arm-in-arm. The only thing they really managed to accomplish was to pin everyone who was in front of them at the front of the stage. It was only messed up in the sense that I looked at them and went "Now, WTF was the POINT of that?"

I've seen a little bit of everything from doing security and going to so many shows. I've seen seizures, bottle fights, fsu brawls, sucker punches, drunks falling flat on their face, but never have I seen, nor do I ever hope to see a knife fight in the pit.
