This question gets asked four or five times a year. It is quickly losing its 'charm'.
It is like Hallowe'en night when, after turning off all the lights, past 9, some 'later-year' teen wearing only a smudge of his mother's lipstick around the left eye as a disguise, rings the bell and yells: "Hey dude! Any candy left?"
Hallowe'en is fun, but after 9 p.m. trci-or-treating loses its charm.

This time, only a summary.
In any self-consistent field we can say with confidence that
1 + 1 <= 2 (it can be less than or equal to) 2.

In Boolean algebra 1+ 1 = 1

In the Z2 field: 1 + 1 is congruent to 0.

In human reproduction, some claim that 1+1=3 but the probability of that is rather low (for random couplings, it is reported as less than 1%); those who insist, on moral (or biblical) grounds, that coupling should be reserved for procreation, should also consider that the operation must then be done in two steps: first the union where 1+1=1 (they shall become as one), then the offspring, bringing us back to 1+1=2

I understand what you mean by hard...it could be a number of things:

1) 1+1 = 2
2) 1+1 = 11
3) I+I (then put the two "=" over each side, making a window). Therefore, 1 + 1 = Window

There is no equation here. It can only be simplified. The answer is 2 but 2.
