Is ABA basketball any good?

Question

Not the old ABA that merged with the NBA, the "new" ABA with 35 some odd teams. How does it compare to NCAAB or other non-NBA pro hoops?

The ABA was going to come Lake Charles, La but they could not get enough sponsors to sponsorthem so they went to another city in louisiana. This town is borrowing in the sports area. We have the Saints, the Hornets and a arena football team called the Louisiana Swashbucklers but, not an ABAteam.
