I understand that people will say that they are doing this to get hispanic votes, but I think they will lose more votes than they will gain if they do not take a stance against illegal immigration. I feel like this is the one issue that could bite the Dems in the azz during the next election.

Apparently you've never listened to Bill Richardson.
They all have a policy against illegal immigration, but this problem is bigger than just Democrat vs Republican.

I feel this is one of those non-issues. Had the laws dealing with illegal immigration were followed to begin with no one would be speaking about it. People chose to turn a blind eye as companies hired them. Funding for a true border control was never given. So why isn't a situation like Ellis Island set up? Give those a chance to come here legally. And enforce the already existing laws. Face the fact that those here illegally are going to remain. Given this there has to be a way to meld them into society. I don't know that I agree with the drivers liscense scenario or not.
As far as the Democrats taking a stand on this issue. There are far more important issues to be dealt with. Did you all know that they did this same exact thing in the 20s/30s? Made the Mexicans the focus of all that is wrong. The one thing that was said last night. Give them jobs in their own country. Better relations with our southren friends. Help them make their country more viable for their citizens. This is the best that can be done.

Their non stance on illegal immigration is only hurting them with any of the middle to right swing voters. The dems are going to vote dem no matter what. Just like the reps are going to vote rep no matter what. Most people are going to be voting on the Iraq War. It is a more important issue to the populace.

This problem has been around for years and years. Why haven't any of the past congresses taken a stand on this issue. I was talking with my dad about this a few weeks ago. He is a Republican and I am an Independent (left leaning) and we totally agreed. Something needs to be done and it needs to have been done yesterday.

Democrats and Republicans are the comparable. in the back of close doorways Dems and Reps are continually in settlement. To something of the international, they act like they're against one yet another. This creates the phantasm there are 2 factors of ever difficulty. surely, they're the comparable component. The crucial government, run with the aid of bureaucratic servants pronounced as Democrats and Republicans, understand that there is a 11% approval fee of the government with the aid of the U. S. electorate. it is unacceptable to the Dems and Reps. they desire away to instruct there potential. So becoming an apprehension environment, gets the electorate interest. this additionally will enable them to portray they're doing some thing for the electorate that could no longer be refrained from the government. I't is a forced attractiveness of potential in all its tyranny. between the policies of conflict whilst dealing with a extra suitable enemy is to divide and conquer, rather then to attack your enemies rigidity as an entire. understanding that electorate and there constitutional freedoms/rights are a thee governments best enemy, becoming a diversionary tactic at the same time with Republican and Democrat might divide the governments enemies "electorate + constitutional freedoms/rights" as quickly as divided, the enemy is a lot extra handy to beat. for this reason, as quickly as we are divided, the crucial government can eliminate freedoms/rights, and enforce tyrannous regulations lots extra handy than if we've been united. Vote for all of us else as properly Democrats or Republicans. I't could be all of us beginning from a 0.33 occasion candidate to Mickey Mouse. do only no longer vote for Democrats or Republicans. They have been offered and paid for an prolonged time in the past with the aid of bureaucrats. whilst Dems or Reps are elected, they serve the hobbies of transnational firms that paid for them to get elected, no longer the electorate. I't is the best performing out of a "stable cop undesirable cop" scenario in historic previous. only submit to in innovations. The Tea occasion is the Republican occasion. "I'f your a multi-billion greenback transnational corporation and you pay for, a million President + 435 Congressmen + one hundred Senators + 9 perfect court docket Justices, then you definately've entire potential over 350,000,000+ electorate and all there materials."

They're playing politics with the United States. That is all. They want to appeal to all voters and not take a stand in what they believe in. Why do you think Clinton, Obama, Giuliani and Romney are the leaders in the polls? And not Ron Paul or Joe Biden or Duncan Hunter?

Nice try but you can't blame this problem squarely on the democrats. The same can be asked about the GOP and you would get the same answer: virtually nothing. During the GOP run congress and presidency the number of illegals flooding the border had actaully increased.

This just blows my mind. I can't understand why they support illegal aliens. There might be a million votes from alien families, but do they think that will overcome the people voting agaist them? It's crazy.

They are betting that the Clinton kool-aid drinkers will see them through. These are people that could accept any answer on illegal immigration, or no answer at all, so long as it comes from Bill or Hillary Clinton.
