Hmm you may be able to compete in masters or seniors pro ballroom circuit because by the time you are ready you will be in that age range.
Even though youre too old to compete in pro adult, you could definetley compete in amatuer!!! :o)

You are never too old to start professional ballroom classes.
You probably have more control now than when in middle school and with that start, you will catch on very quickly.

i did no longer initiate ballroom dancing till i exchange into 21, and that i'm doing ok for myself. group classes are actually not a thank you to do it nevertheless. a minimum of, no longer in ballroom. in view which you started late, you ought to paintings 10 situations as perplexing to attain you targets. once you're honestly severe approximately getting to the right, be arranged to pour your total existence into it. 6 hours training an afternoon, 5-6 inner maximum classes according to week etc etc. human beings say you're too previous at 20 to start dancing with a purpose to alter right into a professional no longer because of the fact that is too perplexing bodily. that is because of the fact the sacrifices and sheer volume of paintings you ought to do once you initiate late (say so long to a social existence), capacity very, very few all of us is honestly severe sufficient approximately their dancing whilst they take it up at that age to attain something. (i'm no longer exaggerating right here - I paintings finished time to help my dancing, then prepare from around 6pm to night each and every weekday, then 12 or so hours on weekends - you will ought to do some thing comparable).

If you are looking to do pro you are a bit on the older side. The people who are professionals are pros because most of them are young and started at 5. If you are doing it because you would like the excercise and want to have fun... I say do it. However, you could be an acception to the rule. You may be really good and may be able to compete. Never give up your dreams!
