Are you kidding me ? The Cowboys haven't allowed a 100 yard rushing game this entire season. Not against Peterson who ran for over a 1,000 in only half a season. They may not be great in coverage but they can definitely stop the run.

Dallas' run defense is actually under rated. They haven't allowed a 100 yard rusher all year including Adrian Peterson who had been running all over EVERYBODY this season until he got hurt. Dallas shut him completely down. Next game, Dallas shuts down Bryan Westbrook and Philadelphia. Both of these backs are far superior to the aging Clinton Portis. Plus with the inconsistancy and ineptness of Washington's passing attack, it will allow Dallas' defense to cue in on the run game even more. And the only real break thru game Portis had was agains the atrocious NY Jets who doesn't have a defense, just 11 guys that stand around on the field while the other team's offense scores points at will.

Yes, the Cowboys haven't allowed a single 100 yd rusher this season & Clinton Portis is not the one that will do it. Plus, once Romo starts tearing apart that patchwork secondary of the Redskins they'll have to abandon the run game & Portis will be lucky to get half that many carries.
Cowboys 38, Redskins 13

We will never know. Portis could get a hundred yards but I have a feeling the Skins will be doing alot more passing. Dallas will make it a shoot out. TO will not have to worry about Taylor because he's injured & won't be playing. Unless the Skins get up by 10 points or more we won't see that much of Portis late in the game. So Dallas probably doesn't need to worry about shutting him down.
For the record I'm a life long Redskins fan

Portis just isnt what he was as a bronco. He's good, but I just dont think hes that good anymore.
Look at the stats before the Bailey/portis trade. Then look at how every season, Shanahan consistently has a 1,000 yard back. Can we say system back?

why would they worry about clinton portis? if the cowboys go up by 14-17, why would clinton be getting the ball 30 times? only the patriots make nonsense play calling (passing when they should be running)
*whiney giants fans need to check the game footage again.... without the ignorant giant sunglasses on for that "phantom" holding* it was there just like the 10 times offensive holding was NOT called against the giants *

I think Portis will be the first 100 yard rusher against the Cowboys this season. The O-line is blocking well, and they have been opening up holes. He won't have a HUGE day, but I think he'll get 110 yards or so and a TD. You have given up 100 yards rushing to teams (no individuals), and Portis gets nearly every carry that Washington gives out, so I think that he'll get 100.

dallas will hold portis to less than 100yds because the red skins passing game stinks. they rely on their running game. the cowboys have yet to allow a running back to rush for 100yds. in my opinion, they have shut down better running backs this season. these are some of the rb's the boys have faced this season:
adrian peterson-vikings
ronnie brown- dolphins
kevin faulk & sammy morris- patriots
brian westbrook- eagles
because the redskins have no passing game, the the cowboys defense will be able to focun on portis. plus, the redskins OL is plagued by injuries!

He won't get 30 carries this week if he does he will average 2 yards a carry. Dem Cowboys stuff the run like a Thanksgiving turkey.
30 carries for 60 yards no TDs

Of course they can. They have one of the best run-defenses in the league. They were the first to hold Petersen to under 100 yards in a game. Portis is looking good, but I doubt he will have a game like his last 2.
