wow there are a lot of stereotypes in your question. First of all....france? lol are you kidding me. Second of all, America is NOT all about money, plenty of people live in america who don't have a lot of money, a lot of wealthy people DO a lot to help, and the idea that everyone should be middle class IS NOT WHAT AMERICA IS ABOUT. There is nothing wrong with being well off, or wealthy. Me personally Im middle class like you and perfectly content, but i hold no grudges against people who have been really successfull financially.

No America is the greatest place on earth. The Gov. is the problem, and I am not pointing the finger at Bush either. Ever think about he has went thru more chit than any other president. Within one year of being elected 9/11. And lets not forget we all wanted to blow someone up after it. I am Rep., but the thing that gets me ticked off more than anything is these career politicians. We have elected people in Gov that have been there for 30+ years. And all we hear them say are elcted me for change. BS they change nothing just keep pushing the old ways. We need term limits for the Congress, Senate, and Judges. The Pres. can only be elected to 2 terms they should only be able to run 8 years also. I agree with the War and we did fing the Weapon of Mass Destruction, its name was Sadam. We got to unite as a country and quit dividing ourselves. Thats what the crazy azz terrorist want. I love this country and Thank GOD everyday I live here, and I praise these men and women in the military for what they do. Face it people they think we hate them, and we dont. We need to stop pay attention to Michael Moore and these far left and right idiots. We the people of the USA need to stand up and take our country back. Did we forget WE RUN THIS THING, not the Rep. or Dem. WE DO we vote lets make it count. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
Also the country was founded as a REPUBLIC, not a Democracy

I do agree with many things Michael Moore says, however, you have to take whatever he says with a grain of salt. Think for yourself a bit. He is making plenty of money off of his videos, which should remind us that his videos are his BUSINESS- which make him money. So we cannot trust everything he says.
I do think our country is messed up in many ways. But I do love America, just not the government. The gap between the rich and the poor sickens me. The way the media and government work to only serve the elite is what is hurting our country.
Our country is a great country. Freedom is an amazing thing. However, this notion of freedom is pushed on us by the media. With respect to other countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, yes we do have freedom. However, the elite try to make us think we have more freedom that we do, in order to serve their own interests.

Yes and no.
When you look at certain issues closely, it appears that way. The problem is that discourse has become so polarized. The right-wingers will tell you it's unpatriotic to criticize and wave a flag in your face. So detractors have tended to take a more extreme position and discourse has taken the form of a shouting match.
My view is that the extreme right-wingers in the last few years are more to blame for this, because they essentially associated dissent with treason. So anybody with any doubts was lumped together with extremists of all stripes. First, this view is very antidemocratic and second, it really poisons discourse at every level.

I agree with those who say America isn't so bad, and with those who offer well deserved criticism of the current administration. The only thing I would add is a mountain of blame to the handful of multibillionaires who own our corporations, government, and media and are using them to establish a new dark age.

This no longer the area for political questions. you're interior the words & Wordplay section, so i'm going to handle your use if words. First, "alot" isn't a be conscious. this is 2 words -- plenty. Then, "over exaggerating" is a redundancy. "Exaggerate" potential to overstate, so in case you say "over exaggerate," you're asserting the equivalent of "Over overstate." it particularly is redundant. finally, your question is exciting. Why no longer submit it interior the Politics & government section the place it may get the attention it merits?

Personally Moore needs to go away. He is an extremist who uses the exact same tactics his opponents to do make his movies. He over glamorizes his point of view while downplaying anything that would make his point moot.
I am a moderate lefty, but he is WAY to left for me

No, America is great. I came from Iraq and moved here and have lived in Iran and Greece and have also traveled to Canada and lived in two different US states. It does not get better than this. No where else on earth can someone come from nothing and become a Genghis Khan.

I'm like most Americans....liberal on some issues...conservative on others. Most people if they are honest will agree with me on that point, despite whether or not they identify with either ideology. Our problem in the United States is not the country or the people...it's our government. It doesn't work anymore. From the President on down....we need a serious overhaul.
