Give her a nice family picture,,and make it as recent as possible..all grandma's love to brag about their families and will have a photo to show her friends.....If you can take one of you and her also or make a collage for her to see everyday....
or : Give her a gift certificate to the local gocery store
a box of candy if she likes candy
Give her stamps and cards so she can write and send cards or letters to her friends and family
She probably doesn't need or want things for her house,,unless she asks for something..
YOUR TIME is the best thing she can have and NOBODY else can give that to her..

With my grandmother, every Christmas I make her a gift basket with new wash clothes, her favorite perfume and new socks, etc... the stuff she needs. But what means the most to her is we both go out to lunch together, my treat, then I take her to find the gifts she wants to get for her other grandchildren and then we spend the rest of the night wrapping the gifts and eating fudge. And it is one of the most important parts of my Christmas. Hope that helps.

Grandmas want your company most of all. I have a lot of friends who are that age, and the main thing is not to give them anything that will create clutter. So how about an outdoor bird feeder and a promise to bring her a bag of birdseed every month for a year? You could buy a giant bag and store it yourself, and just bring her a smaller bag when you go to visit. If she lives in an apartment, give her one that will stick to her window, and make sure it gets installed.

How about getting her jewelry?something like a charm bracelet with charms that represent all of her favorite things?grandmas love stuff like that so that or maybe a necklace with the birthstones of her grandchildren and children on it if you cant afford the real stones get rhinestones for it grandma will love it and you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you put that smile on her face but with any gift grandmas will smile don't worry you can't go wrong with anything you get her.

My nana is 79 years old and loved this 2 years ago for Christmas: http://www.lillianvernon.com/catalog/product_display.jsp?searchParam=LV&pdId=1789&addOn=786&sid=eas It's Lillian Vernon's Memory Maker Bracelet that is on sale for $24.98 right now. I printed out small pictures of each family member's faces at my wedding and put them in the bracelet. She loves wearing it and showing off her family.
And 3 years ago I got her this and a few other small things: http://www.lillianvernon.com/catalog/product_display.jsp?searchParam=LV&pdId=1062&addOn=786&sid=eas It's a basic personalized throw that I put 'World's Best Grandma' and her name in the personalization area. There are other throws specifically for grandmas, though.
Hope this helps!

I think all Grandmothers love to get pictures of their grandchildren. That is what we do every year because our Grandmother says not to get her anything.

if your grandma is like mine, she is lives on tight budget! stuff like stamps, envelopes, her favorite shampoos, lotions make good gifts, also gift cards like from walmart are great since she can purchase food items or clothes that she needs. my grandmother also likes for her grandkids to visit her, not just during the holidays, elderly people get lonely so take her out to sunday brunch or to dinner through out the year!

Get her tickets for the both of you for a play (matinee). Then take her out to lunch. She will enjoy the time spent with you and you will be creating memories.
