Question:: Can I get pregnant during my period?

Advice: Yes, indeed. If you have a short menstrual cycle and a long period, you could get pregnant during your period. You ovulate about 14 days BEFORE the start of your next period, the most likely time for pregnancy to happen.

most women ovulate 14 days after the first day of their period, and sperm can survive in the uterus for about 72 hours, so the chances are pretty slim; however, their are some women that ovulate irregularly, so it's still possible.
