Look at the size of his head and some people say his feet grew three sizes after age 37. This is not natural. Will he have longterm health effects due to this chemical enhancement, especially if he does not stay in shape upon retirement? I can't help but to think that down the road Barry Bonds may become a major health hazard. Did he sacrifice his own health and longevity for records and fame? Do you think chemical usage has affected his personality?

I have no doubts he'll have health issues. He already does...look at his surly attitude...could probably be atributed to 'roid rage. I'm sure if you were to check out his body, he's probably covered in acne. Also what about that chronic leg/knee problem he's had the last couple years? Coincidence? Like you say the size of his head, and his feet. As a comparison, look at Mark Mcguire. when he broke into the game, he was a skinny kid with some good power. Then he 'roided up, then when he "retired" the last couple years he's shrunk a couple suit sizes! I think if Bonds doesn't get off "the juice" and soon, he's in for nothing but problems.

Look at the history of those athletes that took drugs. Lyle Alzado, John Matuszak just to name two. Both young, both dead. There are a number of others.

To answer your question, yes, he made a conscience decision to trade longevity for fame and fortune. When he's not around to see his children grow up, get married and eventually become a grand father, that's when reality will sink in.

I always wondered why the pitch of his voice was so high. It's probably because his balls are the size of peanuts from the roids.
