Because a lot of people don't take anything seriously and because many are just answering as many questions as they can to get points. They also vote for the first answer to questions that were put into voting just to get the points, not matter how rediculous the answer is.

There are a lot of questions on here that are jokes. Of course there are the serious ones, or seemingly serious ones. Then there are just those ones that are so completely stupid that you can't help giving an answer as if the question is a joke. Ya know, those questions that when you read it you just have to laugh and think..wtf? But no matter what type of question it actually is..you will always get some people that try to be smartarses about it, and then others that will take it seriously.

Because if you've been here long enough, most of the questions you see are quite funny and can't be taken serious. There are some really stupid questions that come up on here. Then when a serious one does come up, people are already in a joking mindset and it is sometimes hard to change so they just post something silly.
It does get aggravating, especially when you are trying to get a serious answer to a serious question.

They just want to get points so they answer questions that they don't know the answer to with a joke so they can put something in the space.

Because some people post ridiculous questions that deserve ridiculous answers. And other people are just bored and want to mess around, which is SO annoying when you're being serious.

A lot of people don't care, they don't know the answer, and they just want points. Try putting "no rude comments please" and if people continue to taunt you then report them Good luck!
