My daughter was 2 months premature and well she was in the hospital for 5 weeks and they woke her up every 3 hours which bugged me cause she i believe would have slept through the night and when i brang her home it took about 1 month so when she was about 2 1/2 months she slept 6 hours long at night and then 4 months she was sleeping 12 hours and still at 8 months sleeping 12 hours

it quite is in many situations between 3 and four months, even nevertheless it quite is improtant to submit to in innovations that docs say napping for 5 to 6 hours is napping in the process the night. babies cycle with the aid of REM sleep (lighter sleep) so as that they are extra in all likelihood to rouse. it quite is quite up on your son whilst he's in a position to sleep in the process the night. some babies initiate doing it as early as 2 months others (like my duaghter) it takes till finally they're closer to a three hundred and sixty 5 days. it quite is important submit to in innovations that they might initiate napping in the process the night and then a month or so later stop. it is by teething hitting an excellent milestone like crawling or walking, or only a exchange in habitual. only take those in stride and submit to in innovations that at the same time because it sucks ideal now that this would possibly not final consistently and that they'll quickly be napping in the process the night all on there own.

Baby's sleep patterns change often, and don't expect a true full nights sleep for a very long time, at least a year. Little ones, especially premies have tiny tummies and they need to eat during the night. I had a 29 week premie and she slept through the night for one month (her third), then resumed her regular schedule of eating every three to four hours. Must have been a growth spurt making her tired. Its hard on Mama, I know, but this year will be gone before you know it.

It depends on the baby. My daughter (full term) didn't really sleep through the night until she was 2. At 3 months, she was waking to nurse about every 2 hours. At that age their tummies are really little and they need to eat frequently, even during the night.

Not abnormal, even for a 3 month old who went to full term.

My first started sleeping through the night around 5 mos, my second at 2 mos...both full term. My niece waited until about 7 mos....they're all different.

My daughter was a preemie. She started sleeping all night around 5 months. Her doctor made me wake her up every four hours though to feed her. All children are different. I have a neice who is a full termer and she is 14 months old and still doesn't sleep all night. Good Luck.

I could be wrong, but I don't think it really has anything to do with them being premature, babies start sleeping through the night at different times. Sorry this probably wasn't much of a help. Good luck.

Most babies are sleeping through the night by 6 months. Most likely when your babies reach 6 months adjusted age, they will be sleeping through the night. So, if they were 2 months early, that would be 8 months chronologically.

Well, with my experience with kids, my kid hasn't started sleeping thru the night till he was 14. But, I let him sleep with me when he got scared w/ nightmares.
