i did a bunch of google searches and the like, and can't find much for this. i'm not talking about gay adoption, just the marriages themselves.

The problem is that there still aren't many places that allow gay marriages. Collecting statistics on committed relationships might be more relevant, but I don't know how accurate they are.

Personally, I know quite a few committed couples who have been together 15 years or longer, one couple having been together for 47 years (before I left Louisiana - if they're still alive and together, it's been 53 years).

Well I'll give you one, my neighbors mom is lesbian and she has had a very bad and angry marriage. They always fight about random subjects and fist fight on a regular basis. The woman my neighbors mom married even stated that she didn't give a dam about my neighbor, which is like my step sister, they are still married. How could you be near someone who hates your own child who wishes your child was dead.\
This is only one instance of course but I am sure there are many more like it.
