Yes, you are able to, but a lot of factors like babys position, placenta position and moms weight come into play. They say you can hear with a stethoscope starting anywhere between 18-22 weeks, depending on the quality of the stethoscope as well. Good luck.

Before they had dopplar, that's how doctors used to find the heartbeat, however, with dopplar you can hear the heartbeat as early as 10 weeks, with a stethoscope, it would be much later in pregnancy, although, I'm not sure when it would work. I was thinking about trying that out when I get further along just to see if I could hear it myself :)

No. Only your own.
To hear a fetal heartbeat, you have to use a dopplar. If you put a stethoscope to your tummy you will mostly likely hear just gurgling and wooshing sounds.

Yes, my husband was able to hear the heartbeat at home. I think I was 24 weeks. It will be much faster than your heartbeat.

hi,
i bought a pre natal listener off ebay, you can hear hicups heartbeat etc, its excellent, i havent yet used it as im 13 weeks and prob wont be able to hear until 16 weeks!
