hi there
from what i can see in the picture i have located(http://cgi.ebay.com/Dell-Motherboard-PN-E139761-Pentium-III-500MHz-CPU_W0QQitemZ190173331341QQihZ009QQcategoryZ99241QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting)this motherboard will not support s.a.t.a drives as it stands
however you can buy a IDE ATA to SATA Hard Disk Drive Converter Adapter Cable(http://cgi.ebay.com/IDE-ATA-to-SATA-Hard-Disk-Drive-Converter-Adapter-Cable_W0QQitemZ150182741533QQihZ005QQcategoryZ74941QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
this will basically Convert P-IDE (Standard Parallel IDE) to SATA interface and allow you to install the High performance SATA hard disk to your PC
also you could also try using a 3 Port SATA Serial ATA + 1 ATA IDE PCI Controller Card from http://cgi.ebay.com/3-Port-SATA-Serial-ATA-1-ATA-IDE-PCI-Controller-Card_W0QQitemZ120183676350QQihZ002QQcategoryZ39967QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
this plugs into a spare pci slot and will give you a extra ide connection and 3 x sata plugs...job done!
any problems let me know
good luck mate !

Did a little digging and it seems that the label you have is Dell's label (from the first link below) for the Intel D850GB board (second link for general reference material for that board). Please take a look in particular at the third link (page 14) and see if the board layout is the same as what you have. It sounds like this is an older board and only supports IDE drives.

** Edit **
Yes, you can pick up a SATA riser card to fit into a PCI slot. I have one of these from CompUSA on my older system and I believe it was less than $20 for it when I purchased it a year or so ago.

Not directly. You could, however, purchase a SATA PCI plug- in card that will allow you to do so. Be warned, however, that these plug-in cards are expensive, and it still won't operate your hard drive as fast as a dedicated SATA port.

I gained the information from viewing a Dell E139761 that's for sale on eBay.

Please check if the above mentioned motherboard has a red colored SATA cable. The SATA power cable is unique and you can tell it apart from the ordinary IDE cables. If you do, you will be able to attach your Serial ATA hard-disk to your motherboard.
