In the past, it was always being picked on for being the "biracial redhead" but now I think it would be anyone who says anything negative about any members of my family.

I too am biracial, and I get offended when people call me mexican...I am puerto rican!!!! People just have stereotypes of races and think that just because I am spanish, I am dirty and lazy. Erks my nerves!

Talk behind my back.
I'm always good spirited and joke around with people but some people take that as being an idiot.
While I do not think I joke in poor taste, one time when I was coming out from the bathroom I heard the group in the other room talking about me and saying "that guy is so funny, I like people who are so stupid".
Although they just met me, and I have a Masters and make 6 figures a year, it still hurt my feelings. Here I am trying to be sociable and I hang myself out there by being funny and a little embarassing just to make the others feel comfortable and they view me as an idiot or a monkey for entertainment - assholes.

I would only be hurt if my kid or hub said something that was negative and degrading to me. Other than that I get a kick out of what comes out of the mouths of fools.

Nothing. People can be really ignorant and rude. You have to learn not to care what other people think. If someone is doing something to hurt your feelings it's because they are insecure. I try not to care what people think.

I don't let my feelings get hurt anymore by people. If its close friends or faimly that say or do something then yes that would be hurtful.
