I hate that movie BOTH OF THEM i think its really stupid.
i'm wondering why do lots of people like that movie?

I like the first one. The songs are catchy, the story is simple and wholesome. I actually like Sharpay and Ryan Evans the best. They were hilarious in the first one and just silly and stupid in the second one. (What was wrong with Ashley's hair in number two?) I don't care for Zac Efron so much, but he didn't exactly ruin it. Also, since I've seen hundreds of movie musicals, I can look past some of the camp parts of the script and even see that as a tribute to the genre, in its own way.

No, the first one was quite bad but the second one...It has got way out of hand, gabriella/vanessa hudgens is awful and seems very goody goody/fake. It is just so stupid and that is the right word for it.
The worst thing is that Disney Chanel go on and on about how great it is before it is released, play it 5 times evry day 4 a week and then it is all over.
Sadly there is going to be a thrid one which will be released in late 2008.

I think it's an age think. I am a 16 year old junior in high school. First of all, it's easy to relate with the way that people have different cliques and some are afraid to be themselves. Also, the underlying theme is that love conquers all which is wonderful. Also, all the songs are just catchy, and good dancing too. not like grinding and things that kids our age really do!

Omg i hate those shows. They were so dumb. There's no way that in real life you can get all the kids in a high school to sing the same songs and dance the same dance to put it on a movie- its too dramatic and unrealistic. Its ridiculous.

Yes i hate high school musial. Mainly the storyline. it is so same-old same-old. Boy meets girl, they both have problems, they solve each other's problems, they fall in love. Same as every other stupid Disney movie. Some girls like it cause they think zac efron is hot but he is just average looking to me. Yeah i have no clue why anyone would like that waste of film.

i agree. they are dumb. its a kid movie...like the kid version of Grease....supposedly. and all the drama between the actors in that movie...they might be adults by AGE but not in life. geez.
