Or did you just purge your list without warning? I think I might have to do that by disallowing fans as too many weird things are happening and I don't have a good feeling about them. People who I have never dealt with in terms of them answering my q's as well as me answering their q's and people who haven't used teir account for a month or so are adding me.

I've never purged mine, but sometimes depending upon the circumstances it may be necessary. You can never be too careful. And as long as you keep adding me back, I don't mind if you tell me beforehand or not. *smile*

If they are my friends, I don't need to warn them because I am not removing them. I purge a few every week. People I think may be trolls or who do not answer my questions from time to time. I also remove the ones that get suspended. =( I am picky about who I add and that saves me a lot of grief. I have also started blocking users,which is something new for me but I had to do it.

I seem to have run out of defunct contacts and have had to make space based on other criteria, like someone who's cool but never stars questions. :-( Since Yahoo forces the most interesting people to have a back-up account, they really should increase the number allowed to 300.

I know what you mean on this account I don't really have any contacts but on the other account I have a few but there is just too much drama and trolls following the people with allot of points around...It used to be fun but now there is allot of back stabbing and arguing amongst them...=-(

I would not purge my contact list in the first place. Friends are friends in my book, and I treat my friends with respect.

I have been thinking about this too. If you delete someone, do they get a notice saying so? You can purge me, but we only just met, so I hope you'll invite me back.

I would purge if I was you. I peurge with out warning on answers, but not on my IM.

I have not done that, but have had other contacts who did without saying anything. I understood and they added me back later.
You do that if you feel you need to and I won't be mad if you don't add me back. Okay? I understand the problems and realize everybody has to do what they think is best.

I stopped accepting contacts a while ago....and I just deleted the ones I had. I did't give them a warning.
It got to be too complicated.
