The age of enlightenment and the rise of science. Philosophers and Scientists shook the world with new ideas, leading others to take their destinies in their own hands. Thus bringing democracy back to life, a long time after the greeks created the idea. The biggest blow was the US revolution, and when other countries saw it succeed, they took things into their own hands as well.
Feudalism is still alive today. Kings and Queens have been supplanted by CEO's and major corporations, regulated by beaureaucratic governments that still control the masses today.

Who says feudalism has declined and died? Not true. It is alive and well, I am confused by the question.
India is a good example of a feudal society, so is China and many others A sunstantial list of those countries can be found in this link:-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Examples_of_feudalism
