My worst was when I hit a deer and totaled my car. I had burns on my arms and face from the airbags.. The buck died 10 minutes later in the field next to me.

My fiance and I were in a car accident on February 21, 2006.
The car was totaled. None of the airbags went off either. We flipped forward once into a ditch, and then rolled over twice.
He had very minor injuries (was wearing his seat belt)- broken nose, was sore, concussion, and spent about half a day in the hospital.
I on the other hand, spent 7 weeks in the nearest hospital with a trauma unit (I, stupidly, was not wearing my seat belt and had my window all the way down- I was thrown out if it). I had life threatening injuries (died twice on the operating table), lost over half my blood, crushed my spleen, had a liver laceration, collapsed left lung, right rotator cuff was torn, and lost half of my right arm. I lost about 80% of movement in that arm and shoulder, as well as half the feeling. I was in a coma for about 5 days, was intubated, feeding tube, chest tubes. I now have back, neck, and shoulder problems because of it all, too.
I am VERY lucky to be alive.

It was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through (and probably will ever have to go through), but I am so thankful for it because I have grown SO much as a person because of it. I really took my life for granted before my accident, and didn't care about myself at all.

Now, it's a whole other story. I have great things to come for me.

Been in several actually.

Worst ever was when I was in the military (19) and had just gotten home on leave. (First night back). We had been drinking of course. I was with a couple of good friends of mine and we were out cruising in his Mustang GT. A couple of numbnuts pulled up beside us at the red light and start revving there engine at us. As soon as the light turns green, Goon (our nick for the driver) punches it. We were on the right two lanes of a four lane highway which merged into a two lane. Goon refused to give up and never let off the accelerator as we passed the merge point. We were in the left lane at that time and a car suddenly appeared over the horizon. To avoid colliding with the oncomin car, Goon swerved into the right lane suddenly, losing control of the car and we subsequently shot up through a grocery store parking lot (at about 80 m.p.h.). I never saw the parked tractor trailor we struck, hit and actually TIPPED OVER. Next thing I know I was walking along the side of the rode, bleeding profusely from a gash in my right eye and my left arm had been torn loose from the collar bone. End of story; my arm was successfully reattached, my collar bone was replaced although it still acts up at times. I'm just lucky to be here I guess!

I was hit by one semi truck which spun me over a 6 lane interstate. When I stopped spinning I was hit by a second. I had not one scratch on me but my car was nearly folded in half. The first truck was driven by a deacon at a church. I went to accept Jesus a my savior following that!

my roommate and i were driving down a very busy street. the light that we went through usually is green- its the light for the main stream of traffic. in my tiny alero i was texting on my phone while telling jokes with my friend and we went through the light without even noticing it was red... and a huge SUV that was turning slammed into the car. we did a 360 and was only SECONDS away from crashing down the 60 foot ditch. we're really lucky that no one got hurt.
i dont use cell phones anymore and never texted in the car after that. its a huge safety hazard.
